Ordinarily, Danielle Staub is Bravo’s token sociopath; but last night on Part 1 of the Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Reunion, she remained calm and restrained — almost eerily so. And, instead, it was Teresa Giudice who was aboard the crazy train.

A mere minutes — minutes! — into the episode, Teresa dealt Danielle an out-of-left-field low blow: When asked if she liked Jersey Shore, (anyone else excited about this question?) Teresa responded that she wasn’t fond of it because it was too promiscuous, but she thought Danielle could relate to the show for that very reason. Teresa then lets loose an onslaught of insults directed at Danielle — which, as you will see, becomes a pattern throughout the episode — exclaiming:

For his family, friends and fans back here, Eric Stonestreet got the party started early Sunday night with an Emmy win for best supporting actor in a comedy.

His show, ABC freshman “Modern Family,” won for best comedy, too — besting a field that included Fox high school dramedy “Glee,” which had led in nominations.

The Green Party is celebrating news that Pete Bethune is to come home.

Pete Bethune, the anti whaling activist from New Zealand has finally returned home to his family in Auckland. Tears were there on his eyes and he was chocking with emotion when he met his wife and two children at the airport. He was caught by the Japanese Government and had to remain in a Japanese gaol for four long months. He was greeted at the airport by three of his supporters and around 20 media people.

Miley Cyrus is single again after splitting from boyfriend Liam Hemsworth.

The “Hannah Montana” star fell for Hemsworth after they were cast as lovers in the movie “The Last Song” and she has often gushed about her love for the Australian hunk.

Earlier this month Cyrus was forced to slam reports she had cheated on Hemsworth, insisting she was not the other girl in a photo that allegedly showed her with a mystery man.

The only thing as shallow as our celebrity culture is the observation that we live in a celebrity culture. Like, duh. Teenage Paparazzo attempts to dip that observation into deeper sociological waters, and fails, but at least it has a fun time trying. And so, more or less, we have a fun time watching, which, given our shallow bent, is really all that matters, is it not?

Window World of Rockford Donates Gulf War Memorial Wall to Freeport Veterans’ Park – Window World of Rockford President Scott Williamson has sponsored the creation of a new Gulf War Veterans’ Memorial to the All Veterans’ Memorial Park in Freeport, IL. A Marine Corps and Gulf War Veteran himself, Scott felt it necessary to provide the park with the funding to create and install the Gulf War Memorial Wall which had not been created due to budget constraints. During this project, Scott Williamson also heard the story of Lisa Otto, mother of Norman Cain, III, who was killed in Iraq in 2009. Lisa Otto’s home was in need of new replacement windows, so Williamson decided to install all new windows in the Otto home.
